To everyone who contributed to the Carol Service and Crib Blessing held on Christmas Eve
Thank you to all the beautiful female, male and children's voices at the Carol Service on Christmas Eve - superb singing!
Also thank you to such accomplished readers...
and thank you to all the team who did so much to bring the Carol Service together, and filled our beautiful church to perfection with flowers and what must have been nearly a thousand candles!
Happy Christmas all!🎄

To everyone who helped at the Walking Nativity
Saturday morning 's first Berrick Walking Nativity was the brainchild of Mel, our lovely curate, who has sadly had to move on before being able to see it through...but it was beautifully compiled and delivered today by Rev Michael and his wife Kirsty. Plus huge, huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the morning. There was such a wonderful team of helpers providing so many special ingredients, from the fabulously turned out "Ponkey" (Basil), to the talented minstrels, to the delicious refreshments, and also thank you to many who mucked in at the church to help! What we could not have done without, though, was the magnificent and enthusiastic support of all of you who braved the threatening weather (which DID stay relatively calm for us!) to come and be involved and support it (30 children, 20 adults, 4 dogs and a ponkey (thank you, Pam, for the perfect name!). So 🙏🙏🙏 to you all.

To everyone who helped at the Christmas Fair...
Thank you so much for doing all you did at the Christmas Fair earlier in the month, and for all the hard work that you contributed to the event beforehand.
It was a truly awesome whole-village effort. Whether you were cooking, mulling, brewing, baking, selling, shifting furniture, cleaning the Hall afterwards, decorating, running competitions / creative activities, singing, raffling, or any other of the varied activities that went into making this event so successful, the PCC thanks you wholeheartedly: the money you helped to raise makes a valuable contribution to the annual costs of running and maintaining our unique and historic village church so that it will be here for future generations.
SO FINALLY – here’s the financial outcome: an amazing £2,562.77.
With our grateful thanks,
St Helen's PCC
