An Hour Before the Cross for Good Friday

According to the Gospels Jesus died at 3pm on Good Friday. We commemorate his last hour and all that led up to it with this service of readings, music and reflections, interspersed with times of silence.

Welcoming the rising sun and the risen Son! It's early this year as Easter is late in the year, but for those who come there is a lovely Easter celebration starting outside with a bonfire and moving in to church after sunrise to light the Easter Candle. This will be followed by hot cross buns!

October to March=3pm, and during summer 6.30pm. It may change at Festivals-eg Easter and Christmas

Once a month (usually 2nd Sunday of the month) at Holy Trinity, Dacre Banks, our parish will hold this event in the Vicarage Orchard and Churchyard. Starting at 10am. Usually involving a firepit and outdoor activities for children.
