Members are aware of the afore mentioned. Some aids to help understand what is occurring are in church for those who wish to use them.

A short very slight ramped access through the main entrance.

Large print service books are available.

Well behaved Dogs have always attended services. (we are a rural church, with many walkers passing by).

Grade 2 listed.

Silver award, largely in recognition of what we have achieved in our churchyard and for the teaching in our monthly Forest Church.


Music and Worship

The bell is rung prior to each service, and after special services such as Baptisms and Weddings.

Rev Alastair plays the guitar to accompany some singing sessions.
Fund-raising concerts are held occasionally.

Regular organists are Ray Ross and Phil Wilby for morning services.
Guest organists may play when they are not available.


Groups, Courses and Activities

We run occasional Start Courses.

There is a fortnightly Bible Study/Discussion Group. Contact Revd Alastair for more details.

Held at Hookstone Hall-within our Church parish, usually every two months
Various craft activities followed by Rev Alastair leading singing and story telling.
A hot supper for children and adults completes the session.

A lunch-club held fortnightly in the village hall. Pre booking to assist with catering and transport.


Help for Visitors

There is a History Guide book available to purchase at the back of church for £2.50.

Church is open daily during daylight hours.

Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend our services!


Other Features

We use 'Fairtrade' coffee and tea.
During 'Fairtrade' weeks we have a stall with goods for sale.

A collection box in Church. Goods are delivered to the local Food Bank or the Homeless project in Harrogate, on a regular basis.

The paddock, behind the vicarage is utilised as a Forest Church area for Junior church members. They have erected a '5*Bug Hotel' and planted wild flower seeds around it to attract the wildlife. Other small areas to be planted with wild flower seeds. The whole churchyard is managed sensitively for wildflowers and wildlife.
