LENT 2023 Retreat at Home
If one of your hopes for this year is to to draw closer to God or explore your own spirituality, then why not consider one of four retreats offered in the parish during the first half of this year. These are designed to take place at home in the midst of everyday life, so you don’t need to commit to going anywhere!

February: Retreat One Theme: Inner Peace in Divine Love
March: Retreat Two Theme: Inner Peace in Darkness and Light
May: Retreat Three Inner Peace in Friendship with Jesus
June: Retreat Four Inner Peace in the service of God

What does it involve?
Each one will be between 21 - 24 days long over a four week period. You need to set aside for prayer and reflection 4 - 5 days a week for approximately 40 minutes - but it's up to you when and where. There will be an opportunity to meet with others in person or online each week to talk about what you are discovering and it’s strongly advised (but not compulsory) to attend a weekly act of worship. During Lent for example there will be an act of Holy Communion at 12 (Noon) in St Anne's lasting approximately 30 mins followed by light refreshments and the weekly group meeting, finishing no later than 2pm.
All the material you need will be provided - and you can either purchase the book or borrow it.

You can sign up for all or just one of the retreats, but it is likely that each retreat will be limited to between 5 - 15 participants. You can call me on 01748 811462 or email [email protected] to have a no-commitment chat about what it involves.

Each retreat last 4 weeks ( 24 days approx) about 40 mins of daily prayer 3-4 times a week in your own time and place, an a chance to meet with others once a week
