Something different this week - but still lots of fun, and potentially very significant!

Each year we follow the national initiative, "Streets of Light - check out their website for more helpful information: https://www.streetsoflight.co.uk

We encourage as many people as possible to create a simple but colourful window display which can impact the local community from 26 October to 3 November. And for our 'workshop' we provide ideas, all the necessary materials, and some 'expert' advice as you create your own visual display.
All you need is a willingness to 'have a go' - and remember to bring your the window dimensions you want to put the display in!

So...be brave - come along; be creative - have a go; be trusting - your display will make an impact!

Hello, and welcome to St Joe's!  So, who are we…?

Informally: we are a “Church for those who don't ‘do church’. An extended family of sorts - in & out of each others homes.”

Formally: St Joseph’s (Church of England) church was formed in April 2017 to serve the new-build housing area known as Newton Leys, to the south of Bletchley and Milton Keynes. The church was started with the help and support of St Mary’s Parish Church in Bletchley. St Joe’s is officially recognised by the Anglican Oxford Diocese but continues, at the moment, to ‘come under’ the organisational and charitable status of St Mary’s Church.

How would we describe ourselves? A local, community church? Yes!  A new expression of church? Yes! A church for those who don't usually do church, or who have become a bit disillusioned with church? Yes!

We focus on a ‘missional model’, to informally but strategically share Jesus, life and community with each other - and anyone who wants to take this faith-journey with us. We meet two or three times during the month at the local primary school for Sunday morning services, and on other Sundays, and at other times, we organise a range of activities and events that fulfil and enhance our mission and calling.
