This Sunday we are back at Newton Leys Primary School, and have an exciting morning ahead of us!
We're breaking our series through the Old Testament to celebrate with Sarah and Amelia as they get baptised and Katie as she renews her baptismal vows made for her when she was a baby. This is going to be such a wonderful celebration for all three of them as they take this step on their walk with Jesus and officially get welcomed into the family of God. The fact that this Sunday is also PENTECOST, when the church celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit, makes it even more special.
PLUS - this is our final (Sunday) service before our vicar, Ben heads off on a 3 month sabbatical. All in all, a morning not to miss...
Beginning at 10.30am, with drinks and cake, there will be songs, a talk, conversation and testimonies. Don't miss it!

Hello, and welcome to St Joe's!  So, who are we…?

Informally: we are a “Church for those who don't ‘do church’. An extended family of sorts - in & out of each others homes.”

Formally: St Joseph’s (Church of England) church was formed in April 2017 to serve the new-build housing area known as Newton Leys, to the south of Bletchley and Milton Keynes. The church was started with the help and support of St Mary’s Parish Church in Bletchley. St Joe’s is officially recognised by the Anglican Oxford Diocese but continues, at the moment, to ‘come under’ the organisational and charitable status of St Mary’s Church.

How would we describe ourselves? A local, community church? Yes!  A new expression of church? Yes! A church for those who don't usually do church, or who have become a bit disillusioned with church? Yes!

We focus on a ‘missional model’, to informally but strategically share Jesus, life and community with each other - and anyone who wants to take this faith-journey with us. We meet two or three times during the month at the local primary school for Sunday morning services, and on other Sundays, and at other times, we organise a range of activities and events that fulfil and enhance our mission and calling.
