A new term, and we are back at Newton Leys Primary School for our Sunday ‘gathering’!

Join us THIS SUNDAY down at the School as we start our new term and our new series. The OLD TESTAMENT seems to kinda bum some people out. Confusing, irrelevant; and some argue that it’s morally wrong.

And yet, this guy Jesus that we seem pretty keen on, valued and treasured these Hebrew scriptures that many of us struggle to know what to do with. So come and see what you think for yourselves. We'll take a whistle stop tour through these ancient texts over the course of the next few months in a lightweight but thought-provoking way. Everyone and anyone welcome as per usual.

Coffee, cake, catch up with friends, kid's group, music and a chance to talk about some of the deep stuff. All in about an hour. Come hang out.

Hello, and welcome to St Joe's!  So, who are we…?

Informally: we are a “Church for those who don't ‘do church’. An extended family of sorts - in & out of each others homes.”

Formally: St Joseph’s (Church of England) church was formed in April 2017 to serve the new-build housing area known as Newton Leys, to the south of Bletchley and Milton Keynes. The church was started with the help and support of St Mary’s Parish Church in Bletchley. St Joe’s is officially recognised by the Anglican Oxford Diocese but continues, at the moment, to ‘come under’ the organisational and charitable status of St Mary’s Church.

How would we describe ourselves? A local, community church? Yes!  A new expression of church? Yes! A church for those who don't usually do church, or who have become a bit disillusioned with church? Yes!

We focus on a ‘missional model’, to informally but strategically share Jesus, life and community with each other - and anyone who wants to take this faith-journey with us. We meet two or three times during the month at the local primary school for Sunday morning services, and on other Sundays, and at other times, we organise a range of activities and events that fulfil and enhance our mission and calling.
