A short, interactive but creative service, giving space and time to reflect and consider the significance of this day, and what the death of Jesus continues to mean to all of us.
Perhaps a little more solemn than some of our services together, but so important to remember what Jesus' death achieved, and why he died. And of course, despite some sadness, we don't forget...

HE IS RISEN!! An 'All Age' service on resurrection morning, celebrating the coming back to life of Jesus!
Join us for this special time of thanking God for the significance of this wonderful day!
There is likely to be singing, teaching, conversations and, as always, refreshments! It should be good; come and see for yourself...!!

A showing on the big screen of full-length, animated feature film: The Prince of Egypt.

Moses, a prince of Egypt, flees the country when he discovers his Hebrew origins. After a few years, he has an encounter with God who tells him to free the Hebrew slaves and lead them to Canaan.

Suitable for all ages, and not just children/families. Bring your own picnic/fold up comfy chair or beanbag, some popcorn and drink. It'll be fun, while we learn a bit about one of the most amazing Bible stories, and all part of God's amazing plan....

A new month, a new school term - and a new series for us to follow at St Joe's!

Come and join us at Newton Leys Primary School for our Sunday service, when we will start looking in more depth at one of the New Testament Bible books, written by the prolific letter writer, St Paul. And this letter, written to Jesus-followers in a city in modern day Greece, has much to encourage, inspire and challenge us still today as 21st century followers...
Come and join us for stimulating teaching, conversation and time to relax, with refreshments and primary age children's group. We'd love to meet you!

"When we meet, we eat!"
Once a month (2nd Sunday) we don't have a Sunday morning service at the Newton Leys Primary School. Instead, there are a few folk in the church who will arrange over the weekend a 'Meet and Eat' occasion, in their home, or at another local venue, and invite church friends, family members and/or neighbours, to join them. It gives a great opportunity to get to know others a little better, in a social context.

We don't have a regular list of 'venues', so can't easily invite visitors via this website; it's aimed at our regular church attenders to do something - we just encourage everyone to try and take a turn at 'hosting', organising or arranging such a gathering.
