Concord Church

We are a church that launched in September 2022, planted from St Nicholas Bristol and Holy Trinity Brompton, London. We are located on Filton Airfield and led by Andy and Katy Carter.

Concord Church is at the heart of a brand new development on Filton Airfield, the home of the Concorde Aircraft. We’re inspired by the plane and the heritage of innovation and pioneering in Filton.

There's an old Anglican prayer that describes God as the Author of Peace and Lover of Concord. Concord means agreement, unity and harmony. We believe God is calling us to serve and show his love to this brand new community and the surrounding area through our vision of playing our part in the evangelisation of the Nation, the revitalisation of the Church and the transformation of society.

Safeguarding

Concord Church is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of the children within our church community, and to encouraging an environment where all people – especially those who may be vulnerable – are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.

We are also committed to the implementation of the Church of England and the Diocese of Bristol’s safeguarding policies and procedures, and the relevant statutory legislation and guidance for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. For details on our full safeguarding policy click here. Concord Church is appointing it’s own safeguarding coordinator but please contact the St Nicholas Bristol (from whom Concord planted) in the mean time.

If you have any questions about keeping people safe or are concerned that a child, young person or vulnerable adult has been or may be abused or neglected please inform the Safeguarding Officer immediately. Concord Church adheres to Bristol CCRC Trust's Safeguarding policies.
