About Us

Back in 2019, the Bishops of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, and Dunwich invited Amy and Matt Key to move to Ipswich and join the staff at St Augustine’s Ipswich, to gather a team and prepare to plant a brand new church into the town centre. This church would have a vision and a passion for reaching students, young adults, families, and those who don’t currently go to church, with the Good News of Jesus, planting and revitalising other churches, and transforming society for the better. God has spoken to us really clearly about River Church -how it will be a place overflowing with life, love, and the Holy Spirit, named not only after the church’s location right next to the River Orwell, but also the River of Life which floods through the lives of everyone who follows Jesus. We have been working in partnership with HTB, the Church Revitalisation Trust, and Inspiring Ipswich to see the dream become a reality.
