About Us

We have a relaxed attitude to worship and have developed a pattern over the last few years:-

1st Sunday in the month – Morning Prayer

2nd Sunday - Brigades in church.

3rd Sunday - Communion

4th Sunday - Either morning prayer or Cafe church (alternate months).

5th Sunday - Hub service, no service at St Peters, we join with the other churches in the hub at one of the larger church buildings.

We have a worship group of three people who lead services, this provides a variety of worship.

Worshiping together is important to our church family, people from the congregation read, and lead opening prayers. We work with other churches in the Hub and have forged firm links and enjoy sharing fellowship with them.

We make monthly visits to one of our local care homes and take communion with us. We also have very strong links with our school, we help there with various projects that happen e.g experiencing Easter and Y6 transition work for High School. Our LML is on the governing body at the school.

We have a weekly on line prayer group.

People coming to worship with us will always be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by all. Lesley and Kath our Ass Wardens are always on hand to greet and welcome people. Our leaders are Gaynor, Lesley and Eth and they are always about before and after the services. Our Hall is a warm and friendly space and all our Church Family will greet visitors warmly. Following the service we have tea, coffee and something to eat. We have developed a Cafe church on alternative fourth Sundays, this is a relaxed meeting where we have food and drinks before the service and a very relaxed form of worship that day.
