The Belfrey
Our vision is to see the evangelisation and social transformation of the North of England.
The Belfrey is a city-centre resource church, based next to York Minster in the heart of the historic city of York. We aim to serve York, make and nurture disciples, develop leaders and plant churches, in order to see God's kingdom come in the North.
In the next 5 years, as our city and region continues to change and grow, we hope to see many find new life in Jesus, and a diversity of people equipped to reach out in Christ's name. We intend to have renovated and renewed St Michael le Belfrey Church, providing a centre for worship and mission that’s beautifully restored and fit for purpose. We plan to start new church communities in our region, sending out people full of God’s Spirit to serve across our region. To do this and more, we need our church to pray, to give, to serve and to grow - so that God’s love overflows from us and so we see a movement of church planting in our region in our day. This is all exciting - and challenging!
So come with us, be part of us, and pray with us, as together we live Christ's story in the coming year.
