It was a Home Church service on Sunday the 25th of October. It was the first time that we used the Outdoor Worship book at home and then shared something of what we get up to with the church WhatsApp group. This meant people can have their church time and share it when they are able.Outdoor Worship Book, page 4 - GATHERING LEAVES:Psalm 1:3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in seasonand whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers. The activity included collecting leaves, looking at them and leaf rubbing with a sheet of white paper and a crayon. That was something I have not done in a long time! What fun and the detail that comes out is really wonderful :-)Revd Rob PaddisonBook - Outdoor Worship: Engage with God in his creation by Sara and Sam Hargreaves (https://www.engageworship.org/store/product/outdoor-worship-book)

soul momentsNext time you sit down for a meal, pause a moment. We are busy busy people, rushing from one thing to another. We even often rush through meals perhaps only taking a passing note of the general overall flavour. Our minds a whirl of thoughts or we are engage in conversation while eating in an automatic motion.Be still, slow down then begin to eat. As you eat, chew slowly, notice the texture and savour the flavour. Stop, taste, really taste. These small moments are soul moments, connecting us to nature, connecting us to God's creation, they are good for our wellbeing.
soul momentsNext time you get out of the house for some exercise look out for a wildlife place, a natural area with a few trees and bushes. Then stop, face that area for a moment and look, really look. If you give it a few minutes you will begin to notice the detail, the small yet wonderful things. When I was taking the picture for the 'Stop Listen' soul moment, I saw this wonderful bee, which is not your normal run of the mill bee. It is just above the word 'wellbeing'. These small moments are soul moments, connecting us to nature, connecting us to God's creation, they are good for our wellbeing.
