St James, Heywood

Welcome to our church. St James is a warm and welcoming community church. Although the large church building on Tower Street has needed to close, the church is alive and well and meets in the former Parish Hall.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of St James, Heywood is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Mrs P Farrar [email protected] or 07812076296] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Abbey Clephane-Wilson, she can be contacted at [email protected] or at 0161 828 1465 / 07384 460958]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
