Welcome to Windmill Forest Church!  

Who are we?

We are a Christian community based in Bottesford, Leicestershire with a passion for making church fun and accessible for those who would struggle to attend a traditional Church service. 

Windmill Forest Church is a partnership with ‘A little bit Wilder Ltd’, a local Forest School Provider, to create an outdoor space where children and their parents can explore God’s creation and learn more about faith and God.

We have sole use of the forest and all the activities on offer there including rope work, free play, swinging in hammocks, craft activities including the use of tools and carving, plant & wildlife identification, foraging, cooking and fire-lighting. Each session has a faith-based theme and we interweave the faith aspect through worship songs, prayers, a short interactive talk linked to the theme and activities based on the theme.

We seek to be an inclusive church community, where people are equally valued.  We are particularly committed to helping those  with additional needs and disabilities access church.  We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements and  whilst we meet in woodland, the woods are accessible by some mobility scooters and wheelchairs (those that have capability to go over grass and uneven ground).  There is a compostable toilet at our main site at Stapleford Woods.
