About Us

Welcome to St Barnabas' Church, Weeton. The church is part of the Benefice of Lower Wharfedale, a group of churches within rural villages to the south of Harrogate, within the Church of England Diocese of West Yorkshire and The Dales. Designed by the famous architect George Gilbert Scott, and funded by the Earl of Harewood in the 1850s, the architecture and presence of St Barnabas makes it a standout feature in the Wharfe Valley.

The Rev. Stroma McDermott joined our beautiful benefice in October 2023 and with her ministry team, is bringing her energy and joy to the community
