Invite your friends and family to share in this celebration and embrace the spirit of Christmas! Come dressed as your favourite nativity character (costumes available if you don't have one!)

This late-night service starts late on Christmas Eve and ends after midnight, so you're among the first to celebrate Christmas!
The service normally contains carols and a short talk, as well as the celebration of Holy Communion (the blessing and sharing of bread and wine).

St Peter's is part of the Elmete Trinity Benefice - with sister churches at St Philip's, Scholes and All Saints, Barwick-in-Elmet. On the 5th Sunday in the month, there is a single benefice service which rotates around each of the churches in turn.
Candles, prayer, scripture, silence and song. Every last Sunday of the month at 6.30pm we have our Taize service. A wonderful way to end one week and start another. Quiet, contemplative, prayerful worship. All welcome.
A traditional Holy Communion service (Common Worship). You can expect hymns led by St Peter's church choir, readings from scripture, a sermon and sharing of bread and wine. Everyone welcome. Refreshments usually available in the parish centre (next door) after the service for those wishing to stay.
Silent contemplative prayer meeting in the side chapel. A short piece of prose or scripture, followed by 30 minutes silence and contemplation. The silence is ended with a short piece of music, and fellowship. A wonderful way to spend time simply to 'be' with God and sit in His presence. All welcome.

Our All Age Worship service is held on the second Sunday of each month.
The service is modern, accessible, upbeat, and will appeal to individuals, couples, and families with young children. A service for all ages to worship together, with regular input from our young people and junior choir. All welcome.
