Palm Sunday Outdoor Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
North Stainley: St Mary the Virgin
Address
A6108 North Stainley Ripon, HG4 3HT, United Kingdom

On Palm Sunday, April 2nd, at 10.45am we will be having a short outdoor service in the churchyard (weather permitting). As we did in 2021, we will retell the story of Palm Sunday – so please bring branches of greenery to wave, toy donkeys etc. Palm Crosses will be distributed. For those who wish, we will then go back into the church for the remainder of the service, including Communion.

There is also an interactive trail around the churchyard – this is particularly designed for children but adults may find it helpful too as we think about Easter!

The children at JAM club will be making an Easter garden to have in church - come and see it!

Safeguarding

Our parish of North Stainley: St Mary the Virgin is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Judith Parkinson or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Narinder Lyon - use the button below to link to their contact details. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
