For the last two years who have made our advent wreaths at St Oswald's Church and St. Margaret's Hall without using floral foam, which is made out of tiny particles of plastic. Our advent wreaths are constructed using chicken wire and renewable moss as a base. The moss acts as a reservoir for water, and the wire holds it in place. The wreath is sprayed and watered occasionally to keep it damp. The foliage and berries were foraged from the churchyard.
