Fund raising for Essential repairs

Our church has recently undergone its five year building inspection by an approved architect to ensure we keep a well maintained church. However there are a number of issues that will be needing some attention in the near future. Copy of report available on request.

Urgent 

 • (M) Repairs to West Accommodation roof (Items 1,2,3) 

 • (M) Main roofs slating repairs (Items 6,14) 

 • (M) Cleaning and clearing rainwater goods. (Items 16,27) • (M) Isolated repointing (Item 17) 

 • (M) Check and clean out gullies periodically (Item 30) 

 • (M) Remove some loose mortar and repoint (Item 37) 

Budget cost £3,500+ VAT

Within 12 months 

 • (M) Decorate exposed rafter ends and facias (Items 8,10,13,15,18) 

 • (M) Check back gutters and valleys (Items 9,11) 

 • (M) Repairs to boundary walls (Items 47,48,50) 

 • (M) Paint original gates and railings (Items 47,49)

Budget cost £9,000+ VAT

As you can see above there are a few items needing some work. The architect has given some approximate costs for this work. Church funds unfortunately do not stretch to this vital need. We are doing our usual fund raising of coffee mornings etc. but this will only bring in so much. The hire of hall covers the cost of general ongoing maintenance and cleaning. Therefore we are turning to the wider community for help!

Any donations we receive will only be used for the above projects. Any money raised above and beyond the will be set aside for continued maintenance of the church.

Although you may or may not attend this church, it does have an important role within the life of Manston and Crossgates anything you can give, large or small, will be appreciated and will help us keep the buildings available for worship.
