Address

We believe every member of church flourishes when part of a small group. At St Philip's we call these CONNECT GROUPS.

We have three groups:
- Tuesday 7pm
- Wednesday 7pm, and
- Wednesday 8pm

Every week we get together. Our evening aims to last about 90 minutes.
We spend time on 4 Ws:
Welcome: connecting with each other
Worship: connecting with God
Word: connecting with the Bible and applying it to our lives
Witness: connecting to our community

The aim is to connect with each other and grow fellowship, with God in worship, with the Bible connecting yo our daily lives, and our community through prayer and outreach.

We've steadily seen the numbers grow, and others expressing an interest, so we're open to launching additional groups. If you would be interested in either of these or want more information, please contact us.

Small groups are an essential aspect of church life - groups for growth as Christians. We would love to see everyone at St Philip's in a small group, sometimes called house groups. We call them Connect Groups because we hope to connect with God, with the Bible, with each other, and our world.

Welcome to St Philip's Church, Osmondthorpe, East Leeds

Welcome to St Philip's!

We'd love you to join our church!

Why not come along in 2024 to find God, find friends, and find yourself!

God is doing a new thing in east Leeds. After receiving a new vicar, Rolf, and a small planting team from St Matts, Burley in May 2022, we continue to seek a fresh vision for the church. In January 2023 we became a separate parish of our own. We have seen exciting growth: our worshipping community is growing, our journey of discipleship is deepening, and our service to the local community expands. During 2023 we set up a Toddler Group, a community cafe, and are happy to host a Foodbank.

Into 204 we're excited to see what God is doing: we want to seek Jesus in worship and service.

As a community of Christians, we are committed to three priorities: worship - making Sundays unmissable with Jesus at the centre, refreshing our rhythms of anglican worship; evangelism - seeking to offer a confident invitation to church and to following Jesus, while increasing our profile and service across the community; and children and young people - serving those in our church, in our schools, and in our community.

During 2024 you are invited to come and see what God is doing in LS9!
