NOTIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT

The Revd Gillian Lunn, currently serving as Assistant Curate in the Benefice of Leyburn and Bellerby, in the Diocese of Leeds, has been appointed as Rector at the Benefice of East Dere Street in the Ripon Episcopal Area.

A message from Rev'd Gillian.

This is just a short note to say hello and just how much I'm looking forward to being with everyone across the Benefice of East Dere Street. When I came for interview on the 20th March, I was given a whistlestop tour of the benefice, including all the churches, the three primary schools and the pastoral lunch at Croft. It was wonderful to see just a brief insight into all that is going on, and I couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome. Thank you! We now know that the licensing date will be on the 17th September at 7pm (in a church yet to be specified). At the moment, I continue in my role as assistant curate in the Benefice of Leyburn and Bellerby, with a moving date to the Rectory at Middleton Tyas sometime in the middle of August. In the meantime, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to work so hard to keep everything happening across the Benefice. I really look forward to being with everyone, and until then, please know that you are in my prayers, and those of the Benefice of Leyburn and Bellerby. With love and blessingsfromGillian Take care
