On the third Sunday of the month we have Breakfast@Church at 09:00am which is an opportunity for anyone of all ages to have a light breakfast together (including bacon butties) and enjoy some fellowship before the 10:00am Service. Also on the third Sunday at our 10:00am Service we have provision for children's church with a seperate age appropriate teaching.
Our weekly Communion Service is at 10.00am. Please do come along and join us or alternatively you can also join via Zoom. Please find the joining instructions below.
Refreshments are served afterwards in the Parish Centre.

Due to the Maye Fayre taking place today we have moved our usual 10am service to the earlier time of 9am and it is shorter to enable people to get to the may fayre that may need to.

We will have a programme of talks, stalls for information on all things green and local, crafts for children and adults, a "pre loved" book stall and of course delicious refreshments. We would like to invite you and family members to our annual Commemoration Service of thanksgiving and remembrance for those who have died but are still very much in our thoughts. This year the service will take place on Sunday 2nd November 2025 at 3pm.
This simple, reflective service will be a time to be still in God’s presence with the memories of our loved ones.
These formal invitations to the service are being sent to all those who have been bereaved recently and in order to manage attendance, please confirm whether you are able to attend and how many will join you from your family members.
During the prayers we will read the names of those who have died whom we wish to remember and have an opportunity to light candles in their memory. Please fill in the name(s) of your loved ones on the enclosed card and return it to the Parish Administrator, St Marys Church, Church Lane, Burghfield Village, RG30 3TG, email ([email protected]) with the name(s) or you can call on 07979871608 . If you are unable to attend the service but would still like the name(s) to be read, just let us know and we will be sure to include them.
After the service there will be refreshments in the Parish Centre for all who would like to stay. There will be church members available to talk or pray with you privately if you wish.
There is no time limit on grief, and many of us carry on for many years wanting to remember and give thanks for those who’ve been part of our lives. So please join us to remember your loved ones. If you have any special concerns, or you can’t come to the service but would still like to meet a member of clergy or a church member to talk or pray at another time, please feel free to contact us.

There will be a parade starting from the Hatch to the War Memorial in St Mary's Burghfield's Churchyard followed by a service of Remembrance at the memorial.

CHRISTMAS / ADVENT WREATH MAKING EVENING - Tuesday 25th November 7pm
Join us for our annual Advent Wreath making evening in our beautiful Church.
A great way to start your festive celebrations by coming to this community event which is always very popular.
There is no charge to attend, but if you are able to make a donation to cover costs of £7 , and perhaps an additional donation of £5 towards the upkeep of the church, that would be very welcome (payable on the door via cash or card) We will provide all the materials required to make your very own CHRISTMAS/ ADVENT WREATH that you can take home at the end of the evening. If you wish you could bring your own choice of 4 candles, and any extra foliage/decorations to pretty up your wreath. If you have enough to share, even better! Secateurs are very useful if you have done
There will also be a raffle to win a door wreath made by a professional. Mulled wine and delicious nibbles are provided.

Join us for the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree on the Hatch and singing Carols by the beautiful tree.
A lovely way to start your Festive season.
We are inviting all our local communities Groups, Clubs, Businesses & Charities to provide & decorate a Christmas Tree of any description that represents either our theme of TBC or Themselves. The trees will be displayed in Church for the whole weekend and open to viewings 12-4pm.
