Safeguarding
Our Church is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults, particularly the vulnerable, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and train as appropriate for their role. Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. Our PCC has adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement’.
If you have any needs, please let us know when you come or contact us beforehand if you want to check first. The building is accessible and we have an accessible toilet. We can also have gluten free wafers and wine served in a separate chalice if needed – please let us know at least the day before you arrive.
Our PCC has adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement’ and you can find our safeguarding and other policies here: http://stjohnscarlton.org.uk/?page_id=26 (the child one is attached below).
