About Us
In 2016, Phil, Anna and their family were invited by Bishop Alastair to gather a team of people and plant a church at St Werburgh’s in Derby. St Werburgh's is a church plant out of Holy Trinity Brtompton (HTB) in London.
St Werburgh’s is an iconic building and was sold off as a church about 30 years ago, it has been an indoor market and Chinese restaurant and was completely closed for 7 years.
On the 17th September 2017, St Werburgh’s reopened its doors with an evening service, which was the first to be held there for many decades.
In March 2018 we started our morning service with kids work.
In September 2019 we celebrated our second birthday and as the months progress the building is being continually transformed into an incredible space, merging the old with the new, for worship, building relationships, music events, community groups and much much more.
We have a vision to build an authentic community which is Christ centred that plays its part in transforming the city and beyond.
