Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) pandemic we are following instructions from the Church of England to maintain safety and social distancing. This means we will be holding no public worship, groups or meetings for the foreseeable future. Our Church Centre, including the Hall, is also closed. We can however stay in touch through social media, phone and doorstep deliveries.
If you would like us to pray for you, tell us about someone in need or help in any way we can, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We will be sharing prayer, worship and ideas for craft and messy church on our website and on our Facebook page.
Know that, throughout the coming days, weeks and months, we will be praying for you and keeping in touch any way we can.
Could you help a neighbour? Share a blessing? Pray for NHS staff and local schools? Telephone a friend? It is at a time like this when we can realise that WE ARE THE CHURCH and we are THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD in a time of dark clouds.
The words of Jesus remind me that God is here for us, whether we are isolated at home, shopping in a supermarket or caring for someone who is unwell:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”. (John 14:27)
My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you, keep you safe and give you his peace.
David (Vicar)
