All events Calendar Lent & Easter

We meet every Sunday for worship at 9:30am (1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month) or 4:30pm (3rd Sunday of the month), as well as on Tuesday mornings at 9am for morning prayer. On the 5th Sunday of the month we have a United Benefice Service starting at 10:30am, the location of which rotates between our three churches.

Lent Course

This year our lent course is called 'Knowing Jesus' and uses materials created by Bishop Philip, Bishop of Blackburn. All are welcome, whatever stage of faith, as we explore key moments in the book of Acts together during this holy season.

Morning Prayer

Every Tuesday at for 20 mins

A short, peaceful and reflective service which takes place in the Lady Chapel towards the front of the building on the right hand side. The service uses Common Worship in modern language. All are very welcome to come along!

United Benefice Communion for Palm Sunday

Our 3 churches will gather at St Mary the Virgin for our united benefice communion service with the blessing of the palm crosses, marking the start of Holy Week. All are welcome!

Maundy Thursday Service

A somber service of holy communion with the stripping of the altar. Once the service has finished you are very welcome to stay behind to pray in quiet, or to leave in silence.

Good Friday All Age Worship

Join us for a family friendly service with songs and prayers, where we hear the story of Good Friday and prepare to celebrate Easter. There will be a short service in church, followed by the making of Easter gardens outside (or inside if it's raining!).
