Sunday 6th October 2019 we held 2 harvest services as follows 8 am Holy Communion - stay for coffee and cake10am All Together celebration of Harvest- followed by refreshmentsThe services gave us time to reflect on the hope and healing that the lord brings to our world through the love of Jesus. We reflected on the reading from Revelation 22:2“On either side of the river is the tree of life …. and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations”Trees are fascinating. Their leaves enable us to breathe and live. Their branches fill our landscapes and arch over our lives. With all that is threatening our beautiful world we are reminded of our responsibility to care for this world because it is not ours but belongs to the Lord and is for everyone. At both services we collected gifts of food and money for the Norwich foodbank
St Edmund's has a new kitchen area - with more storage and working surface. This means that providing refreshments has become easier as there is more usable space from which to serve tea, coffee etc.The old kitchen was removed and the new one installed on the week beginning Monday 11th September. The work went well and the new kitchen is looking great - why not pop in and see for yourself?
