As you know, we have had to suspend all our public gatherings for the time being. This includes our lovely times of contemplation and Compline each Tuesday. For those of you who normally come to this service can we suggest that you keep to the rhythm of contemplative prayer each Tuesday at 7.30pm so that we continue to do it together even though we aren’t! The Church of England Daily Prayer App which is free has the service of Compline (Night Prayer) on it and is worth getting. You can find it in the App StoreRachel
The St Edmund's Ministry Team will be delivering a number of services each week via the St Edmund's Facebook page.We can now confirm the times of three services as:Sunday Worship at 10.30am Sunday Club at 6.30pm Wednesday Morning Worship at 10.30am There will be a service on Wednesday evening - though the time is yet to be confirmed. We hope to soon confirm the arrangements for RSPACE to continue to 'meet' via technology. RSPACE being for children in years 7 upwards (aged 11 to 18).We hope that in these difficult times these services will help us to all to continue to pray together and stay connected, In St Edmund's we have some prayer cards. You may like to take a moment to read the prayer from one of them (please see below)"Jesus is before us, Preparing the way.Jesus is behind us, Helping us, come what may.Jesus is beside us, He's here with us today.Jesus is always with us, Every hour of every day."
We don’t know how this will go – we going to attempt a live steam on the St Eds church Facebook page for the children at 6:30 pm this evening (22nd March). We will have a song or two, a story and a prayer. We hope you can join us. please share.
We have put together a short form of worship which you may like to use on Sunday 22nd March. As you use this short form of worship you may like to light a candle to help you to focus on Jesus the Light of the world, who is with us wherever we are.You may even like to use it at either 8.00 or10.30 when we would, under normal circumstances, be meeting together. However, so much of our lives are not normal at the moment and whilst we cannot meet together we can still pray together. At 10.30 tomorrow morning (22nd March Mothering Sunday) we are going to do our first ever Facebook live stream (on the St. Edmunds Church Facebook page) so if you fancy joining us then via the wonders of technology that would be wonderful! We hope you will find the attached a helpful resource. With our love and prayers,Rev Paul and the Ministry Team
