Queen’s Jubilee Thank you to everyone who contributed to our worship and celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee, to Brian, Caroline and Jan for planting the tree, for everyone who brought food for the lunch, and for Richard for playing at the service, especially the Musick for the Royal Fireworks!. We had a great time of celebration for HM Queen.

Congratulations! To Sophie, Jim and Ruby Thomson. Eloise Georgia Mary Thomson was born on Wednesday (June 1st) at 16:22 weighing 9lb 13oz so far Mum and baby are both doing well, hoping to be home soon

Joyce Ashmore the funeral service for Joyce will be at St Ed’s on Wednesday 15th June at 1.00pm, and will be followed by refreshments in church. Everyone is welcome as we give thanks for Joyce’s life and her faith in the Lord.

Bibles for the Junior School We are about to order 120 Bibles for the Year 5’s. If you would like to contribute there is an envelope in the vestry

Quiet morning at Ringland. Please put the date in your diary for a Quiet morning at St Peter’s on Saturday 30th July, 10.00am till 1.00pm (bring lunch if you would like to stay). A time of prayer and refreshing. Details : Rachel

Archdeacon Ian Bentley we heard the very sad news this week that Ian Bentley has died. Bishop Graham writes, “He bore the news of his cancer diagnosis with huge fortitude, witnessing throughout his illness to the Lord Jesus. Many of us have lost a friend and the Diocese will mourn a faithful minister of the Gospel. Our prayers are with Caroline and their children Hannah and Tim, and the beloved grandchildren.”

Ukraine

As part of our response to the crisis we are meeting in St Ed’s church every weekday morning to pray, 8.45am to 9.15am. Everyone welcome.

Hexachordia will play The Food of Love, music in the plays of William Shakespeare, at St Peter’s Ringland on Saturday 30th July.
