We also have details where clothes etc. can be taken at the back of St Ed’s.

Lent courses : we have two Lent courses running – both during the day on Wednesdays, at 11.30am and 2.00pm. Please see Rev Phil and Rev Val for details.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning A spring Coffee morning will be at Ringland church on Saturday 26th March, 10.00am to 12.30pm. All welcome.

Sad news We were so sad to hear that two very long standing and faithful members of St Ed’s have both died. Mary Tate and Celia Underwood will be very much missed and our prayers are with their families. Mary’s funeral is on Wednesday 30th March at 12.30pm, Celia’s on Friday 8th April at 1.30pm

Bibles for the Junior School We try and donate a Bible to each Year 3 pupil at the Junior School each year. Each Bible costs £5.50 for 120 pupils. Also the Year 5’s missed out because of the Pandemic. We are therefore hoping to present Bibles to them this Easter also. If you would like to contribute, please pass your donation to a Churchwarden.

May Fair 2nd May 11am – 4pm At last we can look forward to having our fun event for the church family and local community after 2 missed years!

There will be 90’s music from Retro, food, drink and ice cream to buy and lots of fun stalls – games, raffle, bottle tombola, pre-loved clothes for adults and children, toys, books and more. Please book the date and, if possible, offer to help for an hour – or more! Help will also be needed for the set-up on 1st May.

The popular plant stall will be outside church from the beginning of June so please get planting!

Hexachordia returns! They will be playing at St Peter’s Ringland on Saturday 30th July. Tickets will be on sale soon. We are delighted they will be returning.

Embrace the Middle East (formerly Bible Lands) have produced a document ‘We Choose Abundant Life’ setting out the key perspectives of the remaining Christian church in the Holy Land. One of the main themes is co-operation between the main denominations and a Spirit – led witness across the region. This document can be downloaded from the Embrace website. Also a summary is at the back of St Ed’s church. This is such an important issue for our time, particularly as we consider church unity.

The Norwich passion Play is happening on Saturday 16th April in Norwich – a collaboration across the city from many churches. More details are at the back of church, including how to volunteer!

Christian Aid Week is 15th to 21st May. We have adopted new envelopes that no longer involve collecting them, but delivering them across Taverham and inviting people to return them (much less hard work and awkwardness!!). If you are interested in delivering these, please let Paul Scarff or Rev Paul know.

Norwich homeless during the cold weather as in previous years we will receive donations of hats, gloves for those on the streets of Norwich. If you would like to donate these items please leave them at the back of St Ed’s marked ‘Homeless’.
