St Walstan was one of Norfolk's most venerated Saints. His body was laid to rest at St Walstan's and St Mary's, Bawburgh, and the remains of the shrine chapel can still be seen there. On the way to his burial, the cart St Walstan was travelling on stopped three times and in those places a well burst forth. The last of these stopping places was the meadow below the Church at Bawburgh. This over the centuries became a place of pilgrimage and healing. To celebrate the legacy and story of St Walstan, Easton Benefice will be holding an open air Eucharist at the Holy Well on 30th May 2021. Archdeacon Ian Bentley will be joining us.
