Venue
Menheniot: St Lalluwy & St Antoninus
Address
Menheniot Cornwall, PL14 3RS, United Kingdom

Canoryon Lowen was formed in 2003 by Nick and Jenny Hart to perform a one-off concert by 16 singers. They decided to do more.

The choir is based in St Neot in South East Cornwall, with its 30 plus members drawn from Cornwall and Devon. Its reputation is based on the variety of its repertoire, which ranges from Byrd to Brubeck, Faure to Freddie Mercury. A distinct feature of the choir’s history has included original large scale works and numerous arrangements by the choir’s founding musical director, Cornish Bard Nick Hart.

Janet Wright co-directs the choir with Nick, and together they lead the choir in a programme of concerts, performing about once per month. The much travelled group has sung in Lorient International Festival, Venice, Florence, Prague and cathedrals including Cork, Cobh and Coventry.

This evening the Choir will be performing at St Lalluwy's Church Menheniot. Free entry to the concert with a retiring collection.
The concert will include a guest appearance from singer and song write Elowen Waters who is a 'gem' and will be a bonus to superb choir

Menheniot: St Lalluwy & St Antoninus

Welcome to our beautiful and peaceful St Lalluwy's Church. Standing for over 700 years on a raised circular graveyard in the centre of Menheniot village where 4 roads meet, our Church was consecrated here in 1293.

In the North part of the graveyard you will find the final resting place of Captain John Richards Lapenotiere (1770- 1834) a British Royal Navy Officer who observed the Battle of Trafalgar and carried dispatches of the victory and the death of Admiral Nelson to Britain.

Please do feel free to spend time both in side our Church and the grounds, you will receive a very warm welcome at any of our services. We look forward to seeing you.
