Menheniot: St Lalluwy & St Antoninus

Welcome to our beautiful and peaceful St Lalluwy's Church. Standing for over 700 years on a raised circular graveyard in the centre of Menheniot village where 4 roads meet, our Church was consecrated here in 1293.

In the North part of the graveyard you will find the final resting place of Captain John Richards Lapenotiere (1770- 1834) a British Royal Navy Officer who observed the Battle of Trafalgar and carried dispatches of the victory and the death of Admiral Nelson to Britain.

Please do feel free to spend time both in side our Church and the grounds, you will receive a very warm welcome at any of our services. We look forward to seeing you.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Truro’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
