After several years of struggle, St Dominck church has finally acquired a small area of land to extend the burial ground, ensuring that there is space for another generation of parishioners can be laid to rest in their village, and with their loved ones.
On Sunday 5 July 2020, Philip Mounstephen, Bishop of Truro, blessed the ground in a small ceremony which you can watch here.
Also present was Clare Lee and Lloyd Davies (Churchwardens), Kevan Borlase (Tower Captain, who also manages the churchyard, and Richard and Maxine Batten, owners of Burcombe Haulage, who carried out works to make the ground usable, generously underwriting the cost. The Rector is Rev Chris Painter, Rector since 2015.
