The Friends of Lanteglos Church started raising funds for a full restoration of the bells in 2019 when they were unsafe to ring.  3 of bells date from the 16th century. They had to be recast in 1783 with 3 more bells in a field about a mile away from the church. The field is still called Bell Field.

The bells went off to John Taylor's Bell Foundry in October 2022 to be re-tuned and refurbished. They are now back and being rung for services and for training
