Davidstow held two days of festivities in the parish church at the beginning of December. On the
Saturday there were a wide range of stalls selling Christmas gifts, local produce, craft items and
charity raffles. Father Christmas was in attendance in his grotto under a massive fir tree by the bell
tower. Refreshments were served throughout and a number of musicians played Carols. The
enormous effort led by church warden Sarah raised a much needed sum towards the cost of
installing a toilet.
On the Sunday, the Christingle was very well attended by young and old as Christmas stories were
told, Christingle oranges lit, Carols sung, and funds raised for the Children’s Society. Thank you
one and all for a phenomenal and joyous weekend!
