ST JOHN THE BAPTIST AND ST MORWENNA CHURCH - HAWKER SESQUICENTENNIAL PROGRAMME

Robert Stephen "Passon" Hawker died 150 years ago on 15th August 1875, Famous as the writer of "The Song of the Western Men" and for reviving the Harvest Festival, now celebrated throughout the Christian world, he also left a significant legacy in the parish of Morwenstow.

Saturday 16th August     Display of Hawker Memorabilia at Morwenstow Community Centre from 1.00pm till 4.00pm - cream tea, Bassline Singing Group, handbells.

Sunday 17th August     Display of Hawker Memorabilia at Morwenstow Community Centre from 1.00pm till 5.00pm - cream tea, Shanty Singers

Sunday 17th August     Church Service in St John the Baptist and St Morwenna Church, Morwenstow at 3.00pm

Sunday 5th October     Harvest Service in St John the Baptist and St Morwenna Church, Morwenstow at 11.00am

Sunday 5th October      Harvest Lunch at Morwenstow Community Centre at1.00pm
