We'd love to hear from you
St Winnow is a friendly and welcoming family church on the banks of the beautiful Fowey River, with St Nectan's Chapel nearby; both with hundreds of years of history. Wherever you come from and wherever you are going we welcome you!
The approach to St Winnow Parish Church is down narrow lanes which descend steeply under beech trees, before coming to the end of a small group of houses. There, on the riverbank of the wide upper reaches of the Fowey, is our Church, in what must be one of the most exquisite settings in Cornwall – a fact recognised by numerous filmmakers.
The Parish of St Winnow covers a fairly large area from the River Fowey to the Main London to Penzance Railway line. Most of it is rural countryside, with a large proportion of population of the parish living in the eastern third of the town of Lostwithiel, the river being the boundary between the parishes of St Winnow, and Lostwithiel.
