Welcome to the Parish church of St Sampson, Golant. We are in the Anglican Diocese of Truro in the county of Cornwall, England and share our Vicar with Tywardreath. The Church was founded by St Sampson (one of the most famous of celtic saints)in about the 6th century. He then went on to found Churches in Guernsey & Brittany where he later became Abbot of Dol. To-day many people walking "The Saints' Way" from Padstow to Fowey or Tywardreath visit us. Our bright little Church which is set high above the river Fowey dates from the 14th century and is lovingly cared for and maintained by the worshipping community. Our village has only about 220 residents and the Church is an important landmark for all. For further information visit: www.golant.net
