The F-Word Exhibition: Stories of Forgiveness

Occurring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
Reading Minster of St Mary the Virgin
Address
Minster Office, St. Mary’s Gate, Chain Street Reading, Berkshire RG1 2HX, RG1 2HX, United Kingdom

The Reading Minster's F-Word Exhibition will run from 25th February to 5th March in the church. On Friday 3rd March from 7.30pm - 9.00pm, we will be accompanied by Albie Sachs on Zoom to discuss the nature of forgiveness. Albie was grieviously injured by the security forces while fighting for freedom with the African National Congress (ANC) against the harrowing persecution of South Africa's apartheid regime. His practice of forgiveness led him to share in the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. As a former Justice Magistrate, he helped to lay the legal foundations of the post-Apartheid South Africa.

This F-Word exhibition is in collaboration with the Chaplaincy at Reading University, where it will be available 6th-10th March. There will also be a lecture entitled ‘Forgiveness: an Exploration’ by the founder of the Forgiveness Project Marina Cantacuzino, on Thursday 9th March, 7.00-8.30 pm.
