The Pastoral Quire in Concert : - On Saturday 15th of July at 7:30 p.m. 2023 in St. Peter’s Church Monk Soham in aid Church funds. The tickets including Wine and nibbles and cost £10 and which were also available on the door.  The concert theme was Madrigals and Bird songs, and had varied programme with something to suit all tastes including light hearted music as well as serious music, also a little poetry. The concert started at 7.30pm with the Wine and nibbles being served during the interval with a good spread  available for all. Despite the very stormy weather conditions, the concert went ahead and was enjoyed by all who adventured out. 

The Pastoral Quire was originally formed in the 1970s to sing Madrigals and later, other music suited to a small choir of mixed voices. over the years the Quire has been instrumental in helping to raise money for the  restoration and preservation of a number of churches throughout the St. Edmundsbury & Ipswich Diocese, and has raised thousands of pounds for many churches and charities since then.
