The church has been awarded a bronze award by Eco Church (run by A Rocha UK). We've been working towards this for the past year. Some of the things we have done are to ensure that creation care is a part of our services through prayers, hymns and sermons, changed our cleaning materials, start looking at the management of our churchyard for wildlife, work with other village organisations and publish articles in the parish magazine to promote more sustainable lifestyles and Fairtrade, twinned our church toiletand use locally-sourced or fairtrade food for refreshments.  We have a display in the church telling people about what we are doing. There is a limit to what we can do with a Grade 1 listed building, but we already have LED lighting in the church.
