Accessibility

Limited on-street parking next to church. Please use Wingfield Barns car park on busy occasions.

Step-free access to church via the North door.

In use at all services.

Large print service sheets and hymn books are available on request.

Assistance dogs are welcome, as too are any well-behaved dogs.

There is step-free access to all the building, except for the sanctuary.


Our Building

Grade 1 listed: contains the tomb of Elizabeth Plantagenet, sister to Edward IV and Richard III; also the tomb of the founder Sir John de Wingfield who was chief aide to the Black Prince.


Music and Worship

Our Evensong on the 3rd Sunday of each month uses the Book of Common Prayer.


Groups, Courses and Activities

We hold fortnightly Bible Study sessions on Tuesday evenings via Zoom, lasting an hour or so. Please email, if you would like to be included in the Zoom meeting.

The rural Coffee Caravan comes to Wingfield Barns, generally on the 3rd Tuesday morning of each month. Pancakes are served on Shrove Tuesday.

The benefice organises fortnightly get-togethers at the Hoxne Pavilion. Let us know if this is of interest.

Daily 10:00-17:30 during British Summer Time. 10:00-15:30 during winter.

The marks on the column just inside the building where shepherds tied their dogs during services bear witness to this church having been dog-friendly for centuries. These days dogs which are under their owner's control are allowed access throughout the church. A dog-bowl of water is available at all times.


Other Features

The churchyard to the South of the church is maintained as a wildlife area.
