Many thanks to all the work of Gordon and Janine Lascelles, the PCC, the church congregation and the village community. In order to gain this award silver had to be met in 5 categories, worship and teaching, land, building, community and global engagement and lifestyle. Taking this on from bronze status involved green themes whilst linking with local farming in our new community services, installing a cycle rack, careful and sustainable plans for rare grasses in churchyard, calculating the church carbon footprint, securing 100% green electricity, the congregation considering ways to reduce our church carbon footprint and personal energy use. We are not stopping there and are already working towards a coveted Gold Status award!
