About Us
A warm, inclusive and welcoming church which seeks to be in the centre of the community - St Nicholas Church is here for everyone in the village and from anywhere else as well!
Our handsome grade 1 listed church building is right in the middle of the village, with many notable features, and in part dates back to the 13th Century. The church is kept open from 10am until dusk, visitors are always welcome, and there are guidebooks for sale near the door. Do feel free to come in and spend a moment in quiet prayer or reflection.
Services are normally at 9.30 a.m. on Sundays, with a range of worship. Holy Communion is usually twice a month as well as monthly Morning Prayer and once a month Breakfast Church - a breakfast of toast and croissants combined with a short Family Service. Children and young people are welcome at all services.
Our worship is supported by St. Nicholas Church Choir, and the bells are rung before most of our services. If you would like to know more or are interested in joining the choir or bell ringers there are contact details below
For details of services, please see the calendar pages of this website OR the diary of the village website and the church notice board by the gate on High Street. Services for the month ahead are also advertised in the church and village news magazine “Rattlesden’s Revelations” which is edited and produced by Carole Gooderham, Tel 01449 736631; email: [email protected]
