Occurring
for 30 mins
Do come and join us for a bat identification evening.
We’ll be gathering in the churchyard from 7.00pm - 7.30pm on Friday 30th August, weather permitting.
Bring your own chairs/rugs.
We’ll give a short introduction, but please bear in mind we’re not experts!
In a recent survey at the church, we learned that there are currently pipistrelle and brown long eared
bats.
The bats and the churchyard will be grateful for our going quietly and respectfully while in the
churchyard.
For further information about the evening please contact: Jan on 07799648404
Further information about Bat Conservation and the UK Bat species can be found on the BCT website:
www.bats.org.uk
And finally, a recent read in the Independent noting a decline in bat numbers in our area this year:
