Safeguarding Officer is Tim Freathy ([email protected]) mb. 07816 828016
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
Our Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), which is me - Tim. If you need to talk to me about something that is bothering you, drop me an email or call me on the above number. Or you could contact our the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Karen Galloway on [email protected].
The Parish Safeguarding Officer is the key link between the diocese and the parish concerning safeguarding matters. Alongside the parish Priest, we have an overview of all church activities involving children, young people and vulnerable adults and will seek to ensure the implementation of the safeguarding policy, practice and guidance in their parish. The role helps make the church a safer place for all.
