Getting here
There has been a church on this site since Norman times. Most of the present furnishings date from c1860 when the church was refurbished but St. Peter’s has a quiet charm and dignity and preserves an atmosphere of antiquity. The tower is constructed of coralline crag. A small 14th century cinquefoil-headed piscina can be seen in the south wall of the nave. The East Window – The Ascension by Surinder Warboys is much admired by visitors and complimented by the altar frontal designed by Isobel Clover and worked by Margaret Cuddiford.
The church is always open and visitors are most welcome.
