St Clement's Church is again taking part in Oxford Open Doors this year. We were the first church to be built on a new site in Oxford since the Middle Ages. Built between 1825 to 1827, replacing our medieval church on The Plain, in a Romanesque revival style. In recent years, there has been a minor reordering inside the church and major renovations of the external stonework. Inside, you can see our thirteenth-century bell and our stained-glass windows originally in the demolished St Martin's on Carfax. Today, we are a diverse and thriving church family in the open evangelical tradition of the Church of England.

St Clement's Church Oxford

We are a diverse community of worshippers, meeting in our Church building on Marston Road in the heart of east Oxford every Sunday at 1030 and 1830. All of what we do and what we believe is inspired by our faith in Jesus Christ.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St Clement's, Oxford is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Parish Safeguarding Officer, Fiona Livingstone [email protected], or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
